Golden Key Competition

Nursery, Infant and Primary schools in Dewsbury have been given the opportunity to enter this competition with a prize pot of over £300 and 6 opportunities to win!

What’s It All About?

When Crow Nest Park was opened in 1893, a Ceremonial Golden Key was commissioned to open up the gates. It was sadly lost over the years, so local schools will design a new one!

There will be a winners and runners up in each age group, with the cash prizes being put towards anything that benefits the children in the winning school or nursery.

We are pleased to announce that the Mayor of Kirklees, Cllr Gwen Lowe, will help to judge the competition at the festival!

Huge thanks to Drayson & Sons Ltd Timber Merchants for donating wood, and to Wood and Laycock for cutting the templates!
